Residents Urged to Surrender Unused Prescription Meds

Sheriff's Department to Assist With Take-Back Program
Doña Ana County — Doña Ana County residents with unused, expired or unwanted prescription medications are encouraged to participate in an annual drug take-back program on Sept. 29;
The program, organized by various local law enforcement agencies, gives the public an opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous drugs. The service is free and anonymous. All drugs surrendered are destroyed.
Several locations around Doña Ana County will host take-back sites, and will be accepting medications from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.:

In addition to participating in the drug take-back program, the Elks Club will host an Ident-a-Child booth, several anti-DWI activities and will also have free hot dogs, chips and sodas.
