Reports Show Decrease in Local Crime

EL PASO — The city saw a dip in several crime categories the first quarter of 2012.
A 46 percent drop in murders this year saw only 7 cases of deaths compared to 13 this time last year.
Burglaries and vehicle thefts went down by five percent, and burglaries of vehicles decreased by 22 percent.
Robberies went up by five percent, and larceny increased by two percent.
