Recycling won't be picked up because of high winds
EL PASO — The city won't be picking up recycling Wednesday because of the weather.
Environmental Services recommends that residents wait until their next regularly scheduled pick-up day to place their blue recycling bins out for collection.
The decision is necessary to help reduce wind-blown debris on severe weather days.
Windy Day Collection Reminders
· Avoid putting recycling bins out to the curb, if the bins are not full.
· Always bag garbage.
· If possible, keep garbage and recycling bins secure until pick-up.
· Try locating your garbage bin in your neighborhood before reporting it missing.
· Haul trash and recycling bins away from the curb as soon as they are emptied to keep them from being blown onto the roadways.
Garbage collection will not be affected.
El Pasoans are reminded to always bag garbage.
