ReadyOne Settles $5 M Claim
El Paso — ReadyOne Industries will be paying $5 million to settle claims that they didn't hire enough disabled people to receive federal money.
ReadyOne back then was known as the national center for the employment of the disabled under the direction of Bob Jones, who's already convicted in connection to these claims.
A lawsuit was filed by a former employee against the non-profit. Claiming they were hiring non-disabled people and falsifying hours reported to receive money in a federal program that aims to hire more blind and severely disabled people.
The settlement allows ReadyOne to pay out without admitting any liability.
