EL PASO - Help is on the way for Ramos Court flood victims; new aid is coming in the form of basic appliances.

We told you how devastated the families were. In early June, a levee breach sent waves of water from the Franklin Canal gushing into the Lower Valley neighborhood. The flooding, destroyed many homes. However,  many of the homeowners who are moving back in now, will get a new stove and refrigerator. That's thanks to a state lawmaker, and Operation Hope.

"Thank god we finally got them their stoves and got them their refrigerators, and I want to thank State Representative Naomi Gonzalez, who with her office and my office, we got together and made this happen for these people," said Angel Gomez, founder of Operation Hope.

However, the stoves and refrigerators were only granted to the homeowners through a two-month lease. So, at least for the next two months, the homeowners won't have to worry about paying for the appliances.
