Carrollton, Texas (CNN) — Americans are voicing their frustration over the government shutdown in all kinds of ways from protests, letters, and apparently pumpkin carving.
This is the creation of Texan Kurt Scherf and his two sons.Scherf says he's already written his congressional representatives so he decided to poke a little fun at the crisis. As you can see in this photograph, the carving is only half done and has a sign on top of it mocking those posted at national parks that were closed because of the shutdown.
It reads, "due to the government shutdown work on this pumpkin has been temporarily halted."
