The Texas Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, regarding the proposed Alameda roundabout.

The improvements along Alameda Ave. would include the construction of two roundabouts at Alameda and Paisano Dr., along with a new t-intersection at El Paso Dr.

The project would also include the demolition of the existing overpass that takes drivers from Paisano onto Alameda.

Additional improvements would also include new lighting, drainage and sidewalks in the area.     

Construction along Alameda would extend from Concepcion St. to Glenwood St.  There would also be construction along Paisano from Concepcion St. to El Paso Dr.

Tuesday's open house meeting will include a formal presentation of the plans.  It will be held from 6pm-8pm at the Texas Tech Medical Education Building located at 5001 El Paso Dr.

The public is invited to attend.  Parking will be free.
