The City of El Paso Museums and Cultural Affairs Department (MCAD) Public Art Program is asking the public for feedback on the artwork proposed for the upcoming Sun Metro Rapid Transit System (RTS) along Alameda Avenue.

MCAD invited 23 artists who submitted their qualifications for art opportunities to develop proposals for the RTS, known as the Sun Metro Brio.

The proposals will be on display from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. for public input during the following dates and locations:

• Tuesday, May 6: Downtown Transfer Center, 601 Santa Fe

• Wednesday, May 7: Eastside Transit Terminal, 1165 Sunmount

• Thursday, May 8: Mission Valley Transfer Center, 9065 Alameda

MCAD staff will be at each of the locations to take a tally of the votes and write down any comments the public may have.

The transit project includes 25 new Brio stations along a 14.5-mile route from Downtown El Paso to the Mission Valley Transfer Center, primarily traveling along Alameda.
