El Paso - - Public comment has begun on an El Paso City Council proposal to curtail the violence in Juarez.
Lsat year, Representative Beto O'Rourke introduced a discussion to legalize marijuana in hopes of putting the cartels out of business.
Today, both O'Rourke and Representative Steve Ortega are resurrecting that idea.
"Do i think legalizing marijuana is out the door, no! Do I think it needs to be talked about sure I do but I think there are a number of things that need to be talked about."
The primary focus is not on marijuana but finding a solution to the cartel violence in Juarez that has claimed thousands of lives.
