Pterodactyl Dance

Andy and Kristy Hirko are a young St. Augustine couple who want to get out of debt.

Andy is a youth Pastor at Good News Church. Kristy is a stay at home mom that likes to watch LIVE With Regis and Kelly.

So she had the idea of entering the show's dance video contest.

Andy said, "She did this awesome choreographed dance video." "Andy filmed it," Kristy said, "and when I was done I took off my roller skates and said, 'Honey, why don't you give it a shot?'"

So, with his wife's prompting, Andy went out to the yard and did a little number inspired by a pterodactyl.

"It's actually a combination of a pterodactyl and a velociraptor," Andy said, laughing.

"I'm a terrible dancer, so I thought I'd just do something funny that'll hopefully stand out," Andy admitted.

His dance stood out, alright.

Thursday, LIVE's producers called Andy 90 minutes before the show and told him his video had been chosen.

But he'd also have to answer a trivia question from the previous show.

Andy said, "But I was at work [the day before], so I didn't watch the show, but my brilliant wife taped the show!" So Andy hurried home, studied the taped show, and then when the question came from Kelly Ripa, Andy answered it correctly.

He won $10,000.

On the show, you could hear Andy yell "Praise the Lord! Thank you, Jesus!" "We've been trying to reduce our debt and we've been praying -- 'God, do it anyway possible.' So God has a sense of humor, and we're just trying to give Him the glory through it."

So with Andy's slick dance moves, Kristy's brains, and some divine intervention, getting out of debt has never been so much fun.

Andy now has the chance to win $50,000, the grand prize.

First, producers have to select his dance video as one of the top ten entries, then online voting will take place October 1st.
