An elderly, Hispanic woman in her 70s is the prime suspect in a bank robbery at Pro's Ranch market Thursday morning, law enforcement officials said.

Las Cruces Police and agents from the FBI were investigating the incident at 1st Convenience Bank branch located inside the Pro’s Ranch Market at 320 Wyatt Dr.

The female suspect approached a bank teller and subsequently handed over a note that demanded money, officials said.

The woman took an undisclosed amount of cash, left the bank which is located at the front of the store, and walked out of the Pro’s Ranch Market.

No weapon was displayed and no injuries were reported.

Witnesses described the woman as wearing a dark-color sweater and blue denim pants. She concealed her face with what may have been a robe.

Anyone with information that can help identify the suspect is asked to call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or send a tip via text message to CRIMES (274637), keyword LCTIPS.
