Second City representative to be targeted for recall in a week
El Paso, Texas (KTSM) — A second El Paso city representative may be up for a recall.
Israel Fuentes, of the Lower Valley, co-filed an intent to circulate a petition to recall District 7 representative Lily Limon, who just took the seat last summer.
The report simply states the reason as "for not properly representing the constituents of her district."
"Our government has a system of checks and balances. I have faith in our system and am confident I will continue to serve District 7," said Limon in an interview over the phone.
Last week another intent was filed against District 3 Rep. Emma Acosta by Salvador Gomez.
Petitioners in District 7 must get more than 1,308 signatures on the petition, or 20 percent of all those who voted in last summer's race, to get the recall on a ballot.
