Parents are trying to figure out what they're going to do now that their kids' school announced it's closing down. The private school says it can't afford to stay open and parents are demanding answers.
Rumors have run rampant that Blessed Sacrament School, a private Catholic school in Northeast El Paso, would close its doors. Those rumors have become a reality. Blessed Sacrament held a meeting in the gym, a meeting in which our cameras were not allowed. The school told parents they had to close their doors because of budgetary reasons. The school, which has been around since 1955, says they've tried their hardest to keep afloat but they can't any more.
Parents are fuming. Parents say they don't understand how the school could be facing budgetary issues. They're demanding to know where their tuition money and the money they've raised from fundraisers has gone.
The school says it's going to close its doors at the end of the school year.
