EL PASO — President Obama will be at Fort Bliss Friday.
El Paso Mayor John Cook confirmed he received the call from General Pittard Monday, but details on the exact time and topic of the visit have not been made public.
Obama's last public appearance in El Paso was back in May 10, 2011. His speech then was focused around immigration issues.
Earlier this year, in March he was also in Maljamar, where he spoke about energy issues surrounded by oil field workers.

Will he have the guts to get out in El Paso this time? Or will he hide on Ft. Bliss again? I don't think he has what it takes to drive around and see the condition if this area. I'd love to invite him to Chaparral to visit our schools, and see what real life is, bring his kids so they can see how real kids live.
