Power has been restored to The University of Texas at El Paso campus. By noon, the campus will be fully operational and the University will operate as normal the rest of the day. Courses that start at 11:40 a.m. will take place as scheduled.

El Paso Electric officials told University officials one of their electrical feeders failed, causing the power at UTEP to go out shortly after 3:30 a.m. this morning. The outage affected the entire campus.

All morning classes were canceled. All P-3 classes on campus have been canceled for the entire day.

El Paso Electric crews are working on repairs.  The cause of the outage has not been determined.
