Power Outage Affects 100,000 People

March 2, 2009 - 5:41am
The power outage was caused by a car that crashed into an electric pole. The crash happened in Socorro, knocking out power sporadically from the Lower Valley all the way to Santa Teresa, NM.
The damaged electric pole carries high voltage of electricity to neighborhoods all over the Borderland. Newschannel 9 has learned two electric lines touched causing a safety mechanism to shut down all power on those lines.
A spokesperson for El Paso Electric says about 100,000 people were without power .It took electric crews about three hours to get power back up and running.

Power outage can surely affect lot of people and that's the reason why I prefer professional electricians like Raleigh electrician to do the electrical work. Using their professional services can surely prevent these problems in future.

4 months agoThe power outage knocked out my entire computer network, including wireless router, printer, and laptop computers. A perfectly good Sunday morning consequently became a nightmare, from which neither I nor my computer network has recovered. The individual causing the mishap and the El Paso Electric Company should be made to help bear the brunt of my extra added expense to replace the damage, "fried" hardware caused by the incident. Thank you.
