Tocando Music Project will present a benefit concert to help raise money to buy violins and cellos for new students in the 2014-15 school year.

Tocando, is a free after-school music program for elementary school students at Hart Elementary.

Tocando started in September 2013 at Hart with 35 students and will be admitting new students for 2014-15 to have a total of 60 students in the program, all of whom participate on full scholarships.

The concert will be held Thursday, May 22nd, 2014 from 5:00pm-6:00pm in the Guillen Middle School Gym.

It will feature the Tocando Orchestra with students on violins and cellos.

The Tocando Orchestra will also perform with the youth mariachi group, Mariachi Sangre de Mi Tierra.

Tocando t-shirts and food will be sold at the event.

Paper violins made by Tocando Families will be sold in a silent auction.
