Morrissey, the globally renowned recording artist, and former frontman for beloved British band, The Smiths, has announced that he will be returning to the Sun City on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 to The Plaza Theatre.

Tickets for the concert will go on sale next Friday, February 21st and 10:00 a.m. at Ticketmaster.com or charge by phone at 1-800-745-3000.

Morrissey had previously canceled concert dates in November 2012 and April 2013, due to ongoing medical issues, including a bleeding ulcer. El Paso will be the singer's third stop on his 2014 North American Tour, following San Jose on May 7 and Los Angeles on May 10th.

Morrissey's special gusts on all North American dates will be singer, songwriter and keyboardest Kristeen Young.

The tour dates will come on the heels of Morrissey’s completion of his forthcoming Harvest Records debut album – the artist’s first since 2009’s Years Of Refusal -- recorded in France with producer Joe Chiccarelli. Joining Morrissey on tour will be his longtime band, including Boz Boorer (guitar), Jesse Tobias (guitar), Solomon Walker (bass), Matthew Walker (drums) and Gustavo Manzur (keyboards).

Morrissey’s solo career began in 1988, after the dissolution of The Smiths, with the release of Viva Hate. His influence on music and culture has continued to grow over the past 25 years through the release of nine globally acclaimed studio albums and an array of singles, rarities collections and live recordings. He is renowned as one of the world’s most legendary and influential performing artists of all time, recently exemplified in last year’s concert film, Morrissey 25: Live, recorded in March 2013 at a rare intimate show at Hollywood High School in Los Angeles.
