El Paso artists showcase local work

A group of local El Paso artists held a group art show of "EPic Proportions" at Downtown's Loft Light Studio Thursday evening.

Chucostetics promoter ant artist Juan Ornelas said "This is the first of many new art exhibitions that we are planning now and in the future to serve as sounding boards to the city and the world, that the artistic voice of El Paso is ready to scream out for a chance to be seen and experienced."

Loft Light Studio is located downtown at 315 S. El Paso Street.  The show features artists Diego Martinez, Chris Torresdey, Raul Gonzalez, Joey Gonzalez, Arturo Romero and Juan Ornelas.

The Rock House Cafe and Gallery, another art gallery downtown will also hold a Poetry Slam this Friday at 7:30 p.m. at 400 W. Overland.
