An El Paso officer who was attacked while off duty remains in critical condition at the hospital.

Meanwhile, police are warning against people soliciting donations for him.

As we reported, 29-year-old Jonathan Molina was violently attacked when he confronted 17-year-old Juan Gonzalez after he keyed his car.

The police department said several people were calling El Paso residents claiming to raise money for Molina and his family. They were asking for personal and credit card information, but police say you should not give your information out.

The police department and municipals Police Officer's Association are not soliciting, but were accepting donations.

You can call (915)256-7822 for more information.
