EL PASO - A strange twist to an apartment complex fire in Northeast El Paso. A man has been arrested for attacking two women inside the apartment that caught fire.

Police say Orlando Robles, 29, dragged a 30-year-old woman by the hair and threatened another woman with a large piece of glass. Police say the fire started in the area Robles came from before being arrested.

Today a spokesman for the El Paso Fire Department told us the fire is suspicious. As we reported, 50 firefighters stopped the flames from spreading at the Alto Sol Apartments on Sunrise yesterday.

At the time a neighbor told us she heard arguing in the apartment where the fire started.

"Since like one, two in the morning, they were fighting and like two hours later the guy just set the apartment on fire because he was trying to kill her," Daisy Miranda said.

Robles is charged with breaking into private property and for attacking the two women.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

I'm not going to convict this person first without a trial. If it turns out however that he is guilty of starting this fire, than by all means the book should be thrown at him. Irregardless of the people he was intent on hurting, what about possible children living at the apartments that could have been killed by his thoughtless actions. Just sayin if it's true this person is a deadly felon period.
