The Las Cruces Police Department wants to stop drunk drivers on the roads.

It's setting up three sobriety checkpoints and several saturation patrols within the city through August 31. It’s part of The 100 Days and Nights of Summer Program sponsored by the New Mexico Department of Public Safety.

If you've had too much to drink, you can call project home on Fridays, Saturdays or holidays between 5:30 p.m. and 3 a.m. It offers a safe ride home for up to $10. You can call (575) 524-taxi.
