Police seek bicyclist who robs jogger
LAS CRUCES (KTSM) — An unidentified bicyclist robbed a woman as she was jogging in Las Cruces, according to Las Cruces police.
The 24-year-old woman was running in the 1600 block of Mesquie St. around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, when police report she was struck from behind when the young man stole her Galaxy cell phone, debit cards, and driver's license.
She did have sustain any serious physical injuries, ran from the scene, and called police, a new release stated.
The suspect is described as Hispanic in his late teens, approximately 5-feet-5-inches tall, and slender. He was seen riding a blue BMX bicycle, and police believe he lives in the neighborhood.
