EL PASO — UPDATE: According to El Paso Police, one person was shot near a park on Lawson and Maxwell in the Angel's Triangle neighborhood.

Police said the shooting happened shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday.

One person was taken to University Medical Center, and is expected to survive.

Police have not released a motive for the shooting.

Investigtors are searching for a suspect.  No arrests have been made.

El Paso police are investigating a shooting in Northeast El Paso Tuesday evening.

Not many details were available, but the person or persons shot suffered only non-life-threatening injuries.

The shooting happened in the Angel's Triangle area.
