Police searching for suspect accused of holding up woman at gunpoint

El Paso Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly held up a woman at gunpoint.

According to investigators, the woman was an employee at the Family Dollar on Pellicano near Bob Hope.  She was in her car on the morning of April 26th and was leaving to make a bank deposit when the robbery happened.

"The suspect ended up approaching her vehicle armed with a handgun, ended up threatening the victim, demanding the money and fled the scene," said Officer Javier Sambrano with Crime Stoppers of El Paso.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic man between 45-52 years old.  He is about 5 feet 6 inches tall with a medium build.  He was wearing jeans, a dark-colored jacket and baseball cap.
