EL PASO — Police are searching for the driver who was involved in a hit and run car crash overnight Wednesday.

The wreck happened at about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday on Zaragoza Rd. and Don Haskins Dr. in East El Paso.

The driver of an SUV lost control and slammed into the guardrail, and also damaged several feet of chain link fence.

The driver jumped out of the vehicle and ran away before police arrived.

There were no reported injuries.
