Police search for robber who hit two convenience stores in East El Paso
EL PASO (KTSM) — Police were looking for a robber who hit two convenience stores in East El Paso.
The first one happened at the Circle K on North Zaragoza and Pellicano at about 5 a.m. on New Year's Day. Police said the clerk noticed the man was following her and she tried to run into the office. They said the robber ran after her, threatened her with a knife and took off with money and cigarettes.
A week later, the same man walked into a 7-Eleven on North Zaragoza and George Dieter at 1 a.m. of January 8.
"The man walked into the business, went to the restroom, waited for a customer to leave. Once the customer left, he actually went out, confronted the clerk, demanded money and again cigarettes and fled the scene," said Javier Sambrano with The El Paso Police Department.
The robber is described as a Hispanic male between his late 20's to his early 30's. He wore a baseball cap and hooded jacket in both robberies.
If you recognize him or have any information, call Crime Stoppers at 566-TIPS.
