Police say a man with a machinegun held up a convenience store on El Paso's east side.

The hunt began at around 3 a.m. after police were called to investigate a hold up at a Circle K on the 3100 block of McCrae.

Investigators tell us a male in his late teens or early 20's held up the store clerk with a machinegun and took off with some cash. The suspect fled on foot. He is described as about 5-feet-2 inches tall, weighing about 140 pounds.

No one was hurt in the incident.
