Police search for driver who killed 16-year-old boy
EL PASO (KTSM) — Police searched for the driver suspected of hitting and killing a 16-year-old boy who was changing a flat tire on the side of the road.
Sixteen-year-old Alan Ordonez was pulled over on the shoulder of Loop 375 near Rojas when an SUV struck him.
It happened shortly after 2 a.m. on Father's Day.
Ordonez died at the scene.
The driver of the SUV did not stop.
Police are looking for that SUV and the driver.
"Based on evidence at the scene, investigators believe that the vehicle is a Chevrolet and it is believed to be between a 2005 to a 2009 vehicle. In addition the vehicle is believed to be a blue, granite metallic paint," said Javier Sambrano with the El Paso Police Department.
