Police Release Details on Late Night Shooting
El Paso, TX — El Paso Police Officers from the city’s Northeast Regional Command responded to a report of a shooting that had occurred in the park located in the 9000 block of Lawson. The call was received at around 9:02 on Tuesday night. As officers arrived on the scene they found a 23-year-old male with an apparent gunshot injury to his lower leg. Preliminary information indicates that the victim had been in a verbal argument with at least two other males prior to the shooting. The suspects were no longer at the scene and have not been identified. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
