A warrant was issued for the arrest of a Las Cruces man after he failed to meet the terms of an agreement to turn himself in to authorities, police said.

Christopher Guerra, 29, is wanted on charges of aggravated assault against a household member, battery against a household member, false imprisonment, criminal damage to property and interference with communications. Investigators said the victim is Guerra’s girlfriend, who is currently pregnant with his child.

Guerra made an agreement through his attorney to turn himself in by noon on Monday, Sept. 4, but never appeared to get booked, police said.

Investigators say Guerra is known to drive a white Cadillac Escalade with chrome rims and an Arizona license plate. He is described as five feet 10 inches tall, weighing 240 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a goatee.

Anyone with information on Guerra’s whereabouts is asked to call investigators with the Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Department via Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or send a text message tip to LCTIPS (528477).

The Crime Stoppers number and text messaging services are operational 24 hours a day and you do not have to give your name to collect a reward.
