Police investigate shots fired in East El Paso
El Paso — Residents in a East El Paso neighborhood got a rude awakening Friday morning when they say they heard gunshots around 12:30 AM at the 10000 block of Sam Snead.
Police immediately investigated and found no evidence of gun shots. However, they say they will check the area again in the morning when the neighborhood is lit.
Police want to remind the public that it is illegal to fire your gun within a residential neighborhood.
El Paso Police also arrested five juveniles who were in the vicinity at the time. Officers told us, the teens were thought to be related to the shots fired incident but investigators found they were not involved. Instead, police found marijuana in the vehicle the teens were traveling in prompting them to arrest all five teens.
