EL PASO — An Alabama man was killed in a single-vehicle accident Saturday after El Paso police said he was speeding and driving erratically. 

Kristoffer Reginald Duke, 35, was the sole occupant of a 1997 BMW driving on US-54 by Hondo Pass. Investigators said he tried to switch lanes  and lost control of the car. Duke was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. 

Duke was the sixth person killed on El Paso roads this year.
