Doña Ana County- Sheriff's deputies have three suspects, all juveniles, in a case including multiple counts of mail theft and vandalism.

At around 1:40 a.m., deputies stopped a car with three 17 year-olds inside. The teens were stopped with numerous pieces of mail that didn't belong to them.

Several mailboxes were reported vandalized recently in the Shalem Colony area, and police say these three teens may be connected.

Most mail thieves are meth addicts looking for sensitive info for ID theft which pays for their habit. Mail thieves rarely vandalize boxes, b/c it draws more attn to an oft unnoticed crime. In this case, I'd guess either these teens have a budding drug prob & are new to the "M.O." of mail thieves, or they were looking for quick X-mas cash and decided to cover their tracks with the vandalism. If you're sick of having mail stolen and replacing boxes the solution is MAIL BOSS locking mailbox.

So now our basic and private nesseseties are not safe? what is this world coming to
