Police Confirm Death Of Motorcyclist In Northeast Crash

EL PASO - Police Monday evening began diverting traffic on U.S. 54 around 3:30 after a deadly crash on Gateway North near Diana. A motorcyclist died from his injuries after a Dodge Challenger traveling eastbound passed a red light on Diana and struck a motorcycle riding north on the gateway. 

The motorcyclist was transported to William Beaumont Army Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. 

Traffic is expected to remain backed up as the investigation proceeds through Monday evening. 

El Paso Police tell NewsChannel Nine, this is the 5th traffic related death this year.

I hope this was not a soldier, because if it was the government should take the driver and deplete his income for destruction of government property at ten times the amount paid by SLIG. It is time to recoupe the loses Fort Bliss is having from drunks, textingrs, non attention payers and drivers with no sense at all of taking a human life.
