The medical examiner's office is ruling the suspcious death of a man inside his downtown El Paso apartment a homicide, according to an El Paso Police spokesman.

Officers were called out to the 500 block of Missouri just after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. Witnesses on the scene tell NewsChannel 9 it was a neighbor who discovered the body of Cesar Torres, 39.

Investigators are not releasing the cause of death. They would only say something found at the scene prompted a further investigation into his death.
