EL PASO - A Fort Bliss man is under arrest on suspicion of bribing a police officer.

Kyle Thompson is accused of telling the officer "I'll pay you double if you let me go" in response to the officer citing him for a pedestrian violation.

Prior to that, police say Thompson tried to run away.

He is charged with escape, evading arrest, walking against a pedestrian device and bribery.
