FLAGLER, FL - Hundreds of spectators at a florida air watched helplessly as a plane crashed, killing the pilot.

The pilot was part of a four-plane stunt team that was performing during an air show south of Jacksonville.

The pilot was performing what was reportedly a routine maneuver when the plane hit the ground and burst into flames.

The plane was a Russian Yak-52, one of only four operating in the United States.

There's no word on what caused the crash, but the FAA is investigating.
