El Paso - Beginning January 7, 2011 the Title 7 Ordinance regarding animals in the city will go into effect.

New rules like selling or transferring puppies or kittens that are under eight weeks old will begin within the next year.

A litter permit will also be required for any and all advertising.

Today, we'll speak to the El Paso Animal Humane Society to see what they think about the new ordinance.

We'll have more details as they become available. Stay with us at www.ktsm.com

El Paso is such a closed minded city. To think that all of the litters that are born in this city will stay here is ridiculous. I adopted a pet from the Hum. Soc. and he has ALL KINDS OF ISSUES. I can't even get them to take him back so now I'm stuck with a dog that is a nuisance to me. Now I'm restricted to this dog when I could spend my own money to buy a QUALITY dog from a local breeder. Another asinine decision by our wonderful El Paso leaders. Get a clue, this will NOT fix anything!
