Pedestrian Killed in East El Paso

According to police, the pedestrian killed was a 52-year-old man who lived in east El Paso.  They have not released his name.
The driver is a 39-year-old man who stayed on the scene to talk to police...He was driving a Ford F-250 pickup when he hit and killed the pedestrian.

Investigators are trying to figure out if the victim was standing, sitting or possibly even laying on the ground.

No charges are pending against the driver.

One pedestrian lost his life in east El Paso.

The deadly accident happened at a Circle K parking lot on Pebble Hills. The driver, a 39-year-old man, stayed to tell police what happened. He was entering the parking lot with his truck when he struck and killed the pedestrian. The victim is a man in his late 40's or early 50's.

"We do have witnesses who were present and of course we're talking to them. We also have investigators from the Special Traffic Accident Division who are out here, and they are just starting their investigation to determine what may have happened,” said Javier Sambrano with the El Paso Police Dept.

So far, the police haven't made any conclusion but they do not think alcohol was a factor either for the driver, or the pedestrian who died.

I believe that the driver should be sentenced to some time. He killed a man!!!! Regerdless if it was an accident or not. Its like saying go ahead run people over, its ok if they die, you can get away with it!!!!

That's just stupid! Very judgmental of you Ms Medina! You don't even know the circumstances as neither do they! That's why it's being investigated. Hope nothing ever happens to you. Karma - be careful how you judge others, you never know what lurks around your corner!
