Pedestrian Dies in Northeast El Paso

Update: Police said a man in his 20's was walking on the train tracks heading toward a Union Pacific train. According to reports, the conductor blew the horn and started applying the breaks; that's when the man was struck and killed by the train. The victim's identity has not been released.

EL PASO - A pedestrian died this afternoon in the Northeast.

We're told this happened near the US-54 highway between Cassidy and Fred Wilson.

Police aren't releasing any information, but they are confirming that someone has died along that area.
