Peña Nieto: "End poverty in Mexico"
Mexico City — Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto Monday unveiled his plans to end extreme poverty in his country.
The campaign, called "National Crusade Against Hunger" and he kicked it off in Chiapas, one of the poorest states in Mexico.
Four hundred communities will take part in the campaign initially. The Ministries of Social Development, Agriculture, Defense and Education.
The goal is to drive work productivity and break the cycle of poverty.
About half of Mexico's 115 Million people are considered poor with about 12 million living in extreme poverty.
