Parks and Rec crews still working to repair damage

EL PASO (KTSM) — Crews with the city's Parks and Recreation Department continue to work to repair the damage to facilities across the city from last week's heavy rainfall.
The list, released noontime Monday, highlights the widespread nature of the rain's damage to facilities across the city.
Officials say work at the Armijo Recreation Center, located 700 East Seventh Street in Central El Paso, has closed the main gymnasium, boxing gymnasium and the cardio area in the weight room.
Over in Northeast El Paso, the main gymnasium at the Veterans Recreation Center at 5301 Salem is closed as crew work to repair damage there.
And in East El Paso, the Marty Robbins Recreation Center at 11620 Vista Del Sol Drive currently has closed only the cardio area inside the weight room.
In the same news release, Parks and Recreation officials add that "the facilities are being repaired as quickly as possible."
Officials also updated the list of sports fields closed for practice and/or games for the city and independent leagues.
