According to an article posted on the Pacific Coast League's (PCL) Website, the addition of El Paso to the league means a whole new alignment for the historic circuit.

The story authored by Sam Dykstra, a contributor to the website, says the unnamed El Paso entry will be aligned in the Pacific Southern Division. The newly-minted club will join Las Vegas, Albuquerque, and Salt Lake City.

In the Pacific Northern Division, Reno, Fresno, Sacramento and Tacoma continue their rivalries.

For the American Division, Iowa and Omaha remain in the Northern quad, joined by Colorado Springs and Oklahoma City. New Orleans and Round Rock are now joined by Memphis and Nashville in the American Southern Division.

Dykstra's article goes on to state that "The PCL's playoff procedures remain the same under the new alignment. Division champions face off against their conference rivals in a best-of-five series with the winners advancing to another best-of-five for the league championship. The PCL champs take on the representatives from the International League in the Triple-A National Championship Game."
