In overnight news, more than a dozen firefighters were on the scene of a house fire in northeast El Paso.
We're told the fire started in the back room of a house in the 3400 hundred block of Garnet, near Alabama and Hercules.
Firefighters say there were two people inside when flames broke out.
They and their dog were able to get out safely.
Investigators say the fire was caused by a torch that had been used earlier in the day to fix pipes in the house.
Damage is estimated at $28,000.
