For the second time in recent months fire breaks out at a West El Paso fast food restaurant.
Around 10 P.M. last night firefighters were called out to the Whataburger on University and Mesa. We're told the flames were contained to a garbage can used by the construction crew. Fortunately, no one was hurt and the blaze was put out quickly.
Just last December the same restaurant went up in flames. Investigators say an employee was doing maintenance work on a grill when the fire broke out. The building was a total loss. Damage was estimated at 100-thousand dollars.
