El Paso Fire Department responded to a Condition 3 fire in downtown El Paso on San Antonio and El Paso Streets.

Smoke was seen coming out of the top of the Imperio Real building. More than 100 firefighters responded and were ventilating the building.

The Fire Department and police have cordoned off several blocks around the building on the corner of San Antonio and El Paso.

"The fire department responded really quickly and that's actually a plus one for El Paso because they actually responded pretty fast to this emergency," said Jonathan Gonzalez.

"I've had it. I'm done. I'm up to here. We are seeing history burn before our eyes," said Ortega.

The El Paso Fire Dept. says the second and third floor of the building have collapsed.

There are no reported injuries, and the fire is still under investigation.

A friend of the owner says they did not have fire insurance.
