EL PASO- Tomorrow, dozens of families here in El Paso will get a free turkey basket from a very generous organization.

Operation H.O.P.E. or, Helping Other People Endure, is delivering the baskets to 100 families across El Paso. They come with a turkey, stuffing, a pie and a four-foot Christmas tree. Volunteers will spend all day Saturday passing out those baskets. It's all part of process that started months in advance.

"We start throughout the year. Canned goods don't go bad so we are able to do that in a slow process. When it comes to turkeys, the bread we get those days before thanksgiving and that's why we are running around making sure that we have everything ready for deliveries tomorrow,” says Ruby Gomez, Operation H.O.P.E.

Operation hope has been helping needy families in our community since 1993.
