EL PASO - Tonight 100 families in El Paso have a Christmas Tree and food for Thanksgiving.

Today heavy-weight boxer David Rodriguez helped deliver the trees and food to homes across El Paso. He helped Operation Hope pass out turkeys, pumpkin pies, and eggnog to families that needed and extra boost this holiday season. It's all in an effort to bring families together, and to show the real spirit of the holidays.

"Everyone's fighting over a dollar or a buck when in actuality this is what people should be doing, helping each other," David Rodriguez said.

"We sometimes didn't have a Christmas Tree so I want every child in El Paso that we can help, that calls our office to receive a Christmas Tree, to have a turkey being baked in the oven while they're decorating that tree. It's the most beautiful thing and the most family uniting thing to do," Operation Hope Founder Angel Gomez said.

Operation Hope gives out Christmas Trees and food for the holidays every year.
