Labor Day is a holiday to show working families around the United States that they are appreciated.

In order to show thanks to those people, that aren't able to have today off, Olive Garden donated lunch to several places including to our men and women in uniform.

"A lot of people do have to work, and we want to celebrate all the people that take care of us, our fire department, our local police, our military,” said Olive Garden Manager Jesse Stephens. “So it's a great way for us to give back to the community."

Locals weren't the only ones that benefited from Olive Garden. They did it across the United States.

This is the 12th consecutive year Olive Garden has prepared lasagna, spaghetti, salad and bread sticks.
